“文明因交流而多彩，文明因互鉴而丰富。”为推进中国话语和中国叙事体系构建，打造融通中外的学术体系，更加充分、更加鲜明地展现中国故事及其背后的思想力量和精神力量，以中国学术讲好中国故事，陕西师范大学拟推出以“长安与世界”为主题的系列论坛。  

长安从来不只是中国的，它属于全世界。作为古都的长安，它曾具有的以开放包容为主要特征的精神气质乃是中华民族对于全世界文明进步的杰出贡献，而其历史的艰难曲折亦为人类社会发展提供了宝贵的借鉴。研究长安，必须持有当代人文情怀与世界眼光。这将有助于我们加深关于人类文明发展的整体认识。这是举办本论坛的基本宗旨。

首届“长安与世界”论坛所讨论的核心话题是：历史记忆与文明进步。论坛将于2022年9月在陕西师范大学举办，现诚邀海内外专家共襄盛会。

Seminar on Chang’an and the World:

Historical Memory and the Progress of Civilization （2022）

Civilizations are enriched by exchanges and mutual learning. In order to promote the construction of Chinese discourse and narrative system, to build an academic system that integrates China and foreign counties, to present Chinese stories and the ideological and spiritual power behind them fully and vividly, and to share China stories with Chinese academia, Shaanxi Normal University intends to launch a series of forums on the theme of “Chang’an and the World”.

Chang’an never just belongs to China, but also belongs to the world. As an ancient capital, its ethos which was mainly featured with openness and inclusiveness has become an outstanding contribution of the Chinese nation to the progress of civilization around the world, and the city’s difficult and tortuous history also provides a valuable reference for the development of human society. To study Chang’an, we must hold contemporary humanistic sentiments and world-wide perspective, which will help us to intensify our overall understanding of the development of human civilization. This is the basic purpose of the forums.

The core topic of the first “Chang’an and the World” forum will be“Historical Memory and the Progress of Civilization”. The forum will be held in September 2022 at Shaanxi Normal University, and we sincerely invite experts from home and abroad to join the event.
